2:1 (aka Triplet) Lacing is a method of wheelbuilding by combining spokes in groups of three (rather than the traditional pairs of 2). By employing 2:1 lacing in each of our rear road wheels we are able to build a wheel with the fewest spokes possible, maximizing weight savings. 2:1 Lacing also creates a wheel that is resistant to torsional (pedaling) loads, maximizing efficiency. Finally, a wheel laced 2:1 has more equal spoke tension between the drive and non-drive spokes, maximizing strength and stability.
Lightweight, efficient, and strong; the hallmarks of great road wheels found in each and every RideFast Racing Puncheur, Rouleur and Locomoto!
